Construction of the Eiffel tower (FAKTA YANG MENARIK!)
Dibawah ini adalah pelan asal eiffel tower yang didirikan lebih berabad lalu bayangkanlah teknologi dahulu tidak secanggih sekarang tetapi mereka mampu membuat menara yang tinggi dan berjaya mengangkat besi2 yang bertan2 beratnya ke atas dan membentuk sebuah menara yang bergelar EIFFEL TOWER!

Ibrahim Hassan atau lebih dikenali sebagai berahim pendek merupakan pelakon melayu pertama yg berlakon di dalam filem keluaran hollywood.Bahkan beliau juga merupakan pelakon malaysia yg pertama juga berlakon di dalam filem hollywood.
Filem lakonan nya adalah THE SPIRAL ROADS dan pengambarannya telah di lakukan di UNIVERSAL INTERNATIONAL, HOLLYWOOD .Filem tersebut turut di bintangi oleh pelakon, Rock Hudson,Gene Rowlans,Burt Ives, Ibrahim telah berlakon sebagai pembantu Burt Ives dlm cerita tersebut.
Ibrahim telah berangkat ke amerika pada 18 ogos 1961, beliau telah di bayar sebanyak US35 sehari. ketika itu umur beliau 37 tahun dan merupakan pelakon tetap Shaw Malay Production Ltd, singapura.
Pihak universal telah menawarkan ibrahim untuk tinggal dan belakon di hollywood tetapi beliau telah menolak nya.
IBRAHIM PENDEK juga merupakan PELAKON MALAYSIA PERTAMA yang berlakon dalam filem warna
13 Penemuan Teknologi Yang Tidak Disengaja
Manusia boleh merancang, tapi Tuhan yang menentukan. Demikian pepatah yang sering kita dengar, yang menunjukkan bahawa perancangan manusia boleh saja berbeza dengan rencana Tuhan sehingga sering terjadi hasil yang diperolehi tidak sesuai dengan kehendak kita. Ini ada 13 penemuan teknologi yg tak disengajakan:
1. Penisilin
Anda mungkin sudah mengenal Alexander Fleming, saintis Scotland yang mengadakan penelitian terhadap bakteria yang dilemahkan, yang disebut staphylococci atau stafilokokus. Kejadian yang sebenarnya adalah ketika dia kembali dari bercuti dalam 1928, ia menemukan salah satu cawan percubaannya telah ditumbuhi cendawan, sehingga membuatnya kesal dan melemparkannya. Pada waktu itu ia belum menyedari bahawa kemudian bakteria stafilokokus tidak mampu hidup di persekitaran yang ditumbuhi cendawan fungal.
Setelah Fleming meneliti semula dan mendapatkan bahawa cendawan boleh menghalang pertumbuhan bakteria, dia kemudian menerbitkan penemuannya tersebut tetapi tidak banyak mendapat perhatian. Kemudian pada tahun 1945 setelah penyelidikan lebih lanjut dilakukan oleh beberapa para saintis lain, maka baru diyakini bahawa penisilin boleh dihasilkan dalam skala industri, sehingga hal ini memberi jalan untuk rawatan jangkitan atau keradangan oleh bakteria hingga saat ini.
2. Oven Microwave
Dalam tahun 1945 Percy Lebaron Spencer, seorang jurutera dan pencipta Amerika, sibuk bekerja di kilang magnetron, alat yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan isyarat radio gelombang mikro yang merupakan bentuk awal dari radar. Radar merupakan sebuah inovasi luar biasa penting di masa perang, tetapi penggunaan gelombang mikro untuk memasak makanan adalah ketidaksengajaan.
3. Kon Es krim
Kisah ini adalah suatu contoh yang sempurna dari penemuan yang tidak sengaja, dan sebuah kesempatan pertemuan langka yang memberi kesan ke seluruh dunia. Dan merupakan sebuah pertemuan yang manis. Di awal 1904, ais krim disajikan di atas sebuah piring. Sampai suatu ketika di World's Fair pada tahun itu, di Saint Louis, Missouri, dua bahan makanan yang kelihatannya tidak berkaitan dengan tak dapat dielakkan menyambung bersama-sama.
Pada saat udara sangat panas di World's Fair 1904, depot eskrim menjual eskrim dengan cepat sampai-sampai kehabisan pinggan-pinggan. Depot di sebelahnya tidak seberuntung penjual ais krim, iaitu penjual Zalabia - sejenis wafel wafer tipis dari Parsi - dan pemilik depot mencadangkan sebuah idea untuk menggulung zalabianya menjadi kon dan meletakkan seketul ais krim di atasnya. Demikianlah kon ais krim dilahirkan - dan hingga kini kita masih mencari ais krim dengan kon, semodern apa pun pembuatan ais krim itu.
4. Champagne
Menurut banyak orang Dom Pierre Perignon dihormati sebagai penemu champagne. Walaupun sebenarnya biarawan Benedictine abad ke-17 itu tidak bermaksud demikian, yakni membuat anggur dengan gelembung-gelembung udara di dalamnya-kerana pada kenyataanya dia telah menghabiskan masa bertahun-tahun berusaha mencegah hal itu terjadi. Wain yang penuh dengan gelembung udara dianggap sebagai tanda proses pembuatan anggur yang jelek.

Penemuan kertas nota Post-It yang sederhana adalah sebuah kolaborasi yang kebetulan antara ilmu pengetahuan yang payah dengan seorang jemaat gereja yang putus asa. Pada tahun 1970, Spencer Silver, seorang penyelidik syarikat besar Amerika 3M, tadinya berusaha untuk merumuskan sejenis lem perekat yang kuat, tetapi berakhir pada penciptaan sebuah lem yang sangat lemah yang boleh dilepaskan dengan mudah. Ia mengenalkan penemuannya di 3M, tetapi tidak ada orang yang peduli.
6. Keripik kentang
Tahun 1853, di sebuah rumah makan di Saratoga, New York, seseorang yang sedang makan malam, Cornelius Vanderbilt, terlihat cerewet sekali kerana berkali-kali yang menolak memakan gorengan yang dipesannya. Dia mengeluh gorengan itu terlalu tebal dan terlalu basah.
Setelah dikembalikan beberapa pinggan dan lalu lebih menipiskan potongan kentangnya, kepala tukang masak George Crum memutuskan untuk menggoreng hirisan kentang yang tipis tersebut di dalam minyak goreng yang banyak, maka jadilah kerepek kentang seperti sekarang ini. Vanderbilt pada awalnya memprotes usaha si kepala tukang masak, katanya gorengan itu terlalu tipis untuk ditusuk dengan garpu, tetapi setelah beberapa percubaan, kerepek kentang itu kemudian menjadi kesukaan, dan akan semua orang di dalam rumah makan tersebut memesannya. Sehingga pada senarai menu disenaraikan "Saratoga Chips", yang kemudian terkenal ke seluruh dunia.
7. Slinky
Anda pasti mengetahui mainan yang satu ini, iaitu segulungan kawat berwarna-warni berbentuk pada yang berbunyi gemerincing ketika digoyang-goyangkan. Aslinya mainan ini hanyalah sebuah hiasan di sebuah meja seorang ahli mekanik, Richard James, yang suatu masa pada tahun 1940 yang ketika musim semi tiba, tersandung dan terguling ke seberang lantai selepas menginjak benda tersebut sehingga harus berbaring sakit.
8. Alat perubatan jantung
Seperti penisilin, ini adalah penemuan tidak sengaja lain yang telah menyelamatkan hidup banyak orang, hingga ke hari ini. Seorang jurutera Amerika, Wilson Greatbatch, sedang bekerja dengan sebuah peralatan yang merakam denyut jantung tidak beraturan, ketika ia memasukkan sebuah jenis resistor yang keliru ke dalam penemuannya.
9. Lem super kuat (superglue)
Bahan lebih melekat. Yang satu ini terkenal kerana berdaya pelekat tinggi, tidak seperti Post-It Notes di atas. Lem super kuat tercipta pada tahun 1942 ketika Dr. Harry Coover sedang berusaha untuk mengisolasikan sebuah bahan plastik yang bersih untuk membuat gagang senjata api. Sementara dia sedang bekerja dengan bahan kimia cyanoacrylates, seketika setelah bahan polymerized terkontak dengan embun menjadikan semua bahan-bahan kimia dalam percubaan terikat bersama-sama. Bagi Coover percubaannya gagal, dan penyelidikan berjalan terus.
10. Sakarin
Sakarin, pemanis buatan yang paling tua, tanpa sengaja dijumpai pada tahun 1879 oleh seorang penyelidik bernama Constantine Fahlberg, seseorang yang dulu pernah bekerja pada Johns Hopkins University di dalam makmal profesor Ira Remsen.
Penemuan Fahlberg bermula ketika dia lupa mencuci kedua tangannya sebelum makan siang, yang mana sebelumnya telah ditumpahi sejenis bahan kimia di laboratoriumnya. Bahan kimia itulah kemudian menyebabkan roti yang dimakannya menjadi berasa manis yang aneh.
11. Getah vulkanisir (ban karet)
Christopher Columbus, penemu benua Amerika, adalah orang yang pertama kali memperkenalkan bola getah dari Hindia Barat ke Eropah. Bahan getah memang bagus tetapi bahan tersebut berbau busuk yang sangit, mengeras saat dingin dan terlalu melekit ketika hangat dan nampak tidak boleh dipergunakan untuk tujuan-tujuan praktikal.
12. Mesin Sinar X
Dalam tahun 1895, ahli ilmu fizik Jerman, Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen, sedang berusaha mencari cara agar dapat melihat sinar katod keluar dari sebuah balang kaca yang sepenuhnya tertutup oleh sebuah kertas karton hitam. Dia menyedari hal itu mustahil, tetapi dia menemui sesuatu yang lebih menarik mengenai hal itu.
13. Viagra
Jika anda seorang pengidap disfungsi ereksi, anda harus berterima kasih kepada para penyelidik dari Merthyr Mydfil, sebuah bandar di Welsh. Pada tahun 1992, mereka melakukan beberapa uji klinikal untuk menguji jenis ubat baru yang semula diharapkan untuk terapi hipertensi.
